"Medicine for Hate" Conversation 2-Hour Workshop (By Request)

By arrangement at a time convenient for you. Consider hosting a 2-hour Medicine for Hate workshop in your living room, church, school, or conference room. Any size group. This is an interactive exploratory conversation that taps into our own experiences to find wisdom and understanding about hate. It offers an opportunity to engage differently with ourselves and others when we are at a loss, or when we find ourselves disconnecting from others as a result of hate speech, or acts of hate. Leaning into hate in order to heal, and open to others can offer empowerment. More details provided below.

Introduction to Restorative Justice and Restorative Circles - 2-Day Workshop

Do you struggle with school discipline, school to prison pipeline, conflict in the work place, or do you want to increase awareness about your own sense of what justice is? In every relationship we have, we react and respond to conflict ways that increase or deescalate tensions. What if we establish agreed ways of dealing with tensions, or responding in ways that create more connection and growth? We will spend a day learning about and experiencing restorative practices. Please join this interactive exploratory conversation to tap into our own experiences and find wisdom about the medicine for hate (inspired by conversation with Kit Miller, Director of the Gandhi Institute of Nonviolence in Rochester New York).

This 6 week Wednesday evening intro to communicating and connecting with compassion is a response to a number of requests. Will you join the journey- we will learn and explore together?

Bridging the Gap Between Parents and Teens

Would you like to have more harmony in your home? This workshop will build understanding and skills for honest and loving intergenerational communication. We will explore how to have care flow both ways between parents and their teens. Each week we will focus on different aspects of connecting with ourselves and our children. We will use fun experiential exercises to learn compassionate ways of parenting; Mindful living, Nonviolent communication and self care. Places are limited.
